Blue Mountain Humane Assocaition/Animal Rescue Center of La Grande Oregon

BMHA/ARC operates as a Non Profit Private 501 c3 Animal Rescue business.

BMHA/ARC relys on monetary donation, contracts, and grants to operate.    The average years cost to operate an animal rescue our size with no vet on staff is $275,758.00.

BMHA/ARC of La Grande just underwent great expense due to old damaged underground water pipes.  So far this year BMHA/ARC of La Grande has had to repair the plumbing, water lines, air venting systems, heating systems and the cooling systems.   All of which has been at great expense.   We have taken in over 1671 animals so far this year (as of October 20, 2013) Many of which have been “strays”.

All animals adopted from us are spay/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.  (The average cost of fixing an animal  is $90.00- microchipping cost is $15.00 – vaccinating- $7.95 per shot if rabies shot added – $ 9.28  total expense = $122.23)

HOURS: Monday-Wednesday=11:00 till 4:oo p.m.

Thursday-Friday= 11:00 till 5:00 p.m.  Saturday- By appointment only
