Are you missing your dog or cat and not sure what to do? Use the following steps as a guide to insure your lost pet has every chance to find their way home.
- Call Union County Animal Control at (541)963-1017 to report your missing dog.
- Call the Animal Shelter at (541)963-0807 to make a lost dog or cat report. Remember the more information about your dog, the easier they are to identify.
- Check the Animal Shelter’s Stray/Found Dogs or Stray/Found Cats daily to see if your dog or cat has been brought to the shelter after hours.
- Search your neighborhood and any area the dog may visit frequently. Cats are normally found within 1 mile of their home.
- Hang fliers with a current photo (if available) at the Animal Shelter and local businesses.
- Place a lost ad in the local newspaper or radio station.
