The Animal Shelter houses all stray dogs for six (6) days and stray cats for three (3) days giving the owners a chance to redeem them. If an owner does not redeem the animal they become the property of the Blue Mountain Humane Association. If the animal is not ill, aggressive or have severe behavior concerns, the animal will be placed up for adoption or transferred to another rescue organization.
